Meet the festivals: Popronde

Popronde is the biggest free traveling music festival in the Netherlands for new and emerging musical talent. After a successful kick-off in their hometown Nijmegen last week, Popronde is now ready to cross the country with four editions every week. Popronde and TMSQR joined forces several years ago and now we are taking our collaboration to a next level by releasing the standalone Popronde 2023 apps in the app stores!

Standalone apps for Popronde

Prepare for Popronde 2023, download their free app in the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) and you can enjoy the integrated Spotify playlist, select your favorite artists, find your way in all participating cities with the interactive festival map and stay up to date thanks to the push notifications.

As there are really a lot of artists playing the Popronde here's a little help: go to Settings on the Homescreen of the app and select some of Popronde's main media partners (3voor12, FunX, OOR, Never Mind The Hype) and the app shows the acts they picked with small icons of the media partners.

About Popronde

Popronde takes place every autumn in the period from September to November in about 40 cities throughout The Netherlands. The participating locations are cafes, galleries, theaters, record stores, churches, clubs and hairdressers. One evening a year they are the showcase for the new generation of pop musicians and the center is the festival site.

Popronde is a great breeding ground and the festival is a stepping stone to music venues and festivals outside the own region, to a larger audience and to a great career in the music business. In their early days, Dutch bands such as Kensington, De Staat and Chef Special participated in the Popronde and more recently artists such as Froukje, Wies, Pip Blom, Meau, Jeangu Macrooy, The Vices, Rondé and Nana Adjoa.
